- Do you have parking facilities ?
We have very limited off street parking available (4 spaces) which is located at near the guesthouse. This is operated on a first come first served basis. However, there is parking available on surrounding streets which is free after 6.30pm Mon-Fri and all day Sat and sunday.
- Will I get still get breakfast if I have to depart early ?
Breakfast times are 8am -9am during the week and 8.30am -9.30am during the weekend.
- How far away from the city centre are you ?
We are a brisk 10 minute walk from Princes St which is Edinburgh's city centre. We are also within walking distance from Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh Conference Centre, Napier University and Kings Theatre. We are also a quick walk away from Edinburgh Castle. We are happy to help you with directions if required, just ask!
- Do you take group bookings ?
We are happy to accept group bookings and can take up to 22 guests a night. If you are a stag or hen party, please let us know in advance. Group bookings will be acceptable subject to the managements discretion. As per terms and conditions, the first nights stay shall be expected in full as a deposit prior to your arrival.
- What if we want to leave early ?
Once a booking has been made, full payment will be required on the day of your arrival. If you choose to leave early, a refund will not be honored.
- Are you far away from the airport ?
We are 20 minute taxi journey from Edinburgh airport. Taxi fares cost approximately £17. There is also a regular bus service number 100 "every 10 minutess" from the airport to west end of princes which would take around 30minutes cost £5 return per person.

- How do we get to your guesthouse from Waverly train station ?
There are 3 options! If you walk, there is a straight forward route that you can take which will take around 25 minutes. Please call us so that we can direct you. If you choose to take the bus, there is a bus stop just along Prince's St (gardens side). The bus you require is a number 10 and this will literally bring you to the front door of the guesthouse. This would take approximately 10 minutes. The last option is to catch a taxi which would take you around 10 minutes
- Is there a curfew ?
NO! Guests are given a key for their bedroom and a key for the front door, so they are free to come and go as they please. The only thing we ask is for those that are arriving late to consider other guests that may be already sleeping.
- Families with small children
If you require the use of a microwave to heat up your baby’s milk or food, please let us know and we will be happy to help. We also have the use of a baby high chair in the dining area.
- Are there set check in times ?
All guests are welcome to check in after midday. When you make your booking you will be asked what time you will be approximately arriving so that we can ensure that we are here to give you a warm welcome. If your flight or train is running late and your arrival time has to change dramatically, please call and inform us so that we know that you are still coming. We allow guests to check-in up to 11pm and then to arrange the under the main door Mat.
- Do you have a lounge Bar in the guesthouse ?
We have a loung bar and it is open from 5:00 pm to 10:45 pm.
- Will you accomodate wedding groups ?
If you would like to make a large group booking for your big day, give us a call and let us know what your requirements are and we will try our very best to accommodate you.
- What time is the breakfast served ?
Monday to Friday between 8 am to 9 am.
Saturday & Sunday between 8.30 am to 9.30 am
